If you want to have an enjoyable day catching some quality fish, then you need to come try our bass ponds. The Camphouse pond was stocked in the Spring of 2002 with Coppernose & Bluegill bream, Shellcrackers, and Threadfin shad. Early in the Summer of 2002 we stocked F-1 Largemouth Bass. We stocked the pond in such a way as to encourage quick bass growth. And, we regularly feed the bream to encourage quick growth and a high rate of reproduction. Bass fishing in our ponds is catch-n-release only. We're catching 6+ pound bass right now!
Our Camphouse Pond was built in 2001, and is really something to see. It is about 8 acres in size, and ranges from 1 1/2 to 15 feet deep. It is filled with bass holding structures. There are numerous brush piles, standing trees, rock piles, and culverts. The fishing can be excellent! Bring your bass pole AND your fly rod. These bream can really put a hurtin' on a fly!
The Hodges Pond is more than 40 years old. It is about 6 acres in size. We recently started reworking this pond to make it deeper and to build in some fish holding structures such as mounds and trenches. This pond should be ready for fishing again in 2009.
This year we're also allowing fishing a lake that was formally for the private use of our owners and friends. Pinson Lake is a 25 acre oxbow type lake. Once you see it, you'll be the one that's hooked! We vary the water level during the Spring and Summer, but when the water is down there is still about 15 acres to fish, a lot of 10'+ deep water, and plenty of fish holding cover.
